Fresh Brewed Designs-5 Days of Christmas!!

Good Thursday morning all!!

Before I get on to my post I just wanted to say sorry for not being around to visit all your lovely blogs lately...my year old laptop is in being repaired...I hope!!!!...and I'm on my old one which is a little slow so visiting becomes a long drawn out affair!!!  Fingers crossed that my newer one gets back to me soon with issues resolved!!  All my work files are on it...lol!!!

Well today is day 4 of the "5 Days of Christmas" digi release at Fresh Brewed Designs!!

And today it's my turn to share one of Heather's new Christmas digis with you all...it's called "Snow Delicious Winter Cake"!!

Here is what I came up with...

I sprinkled some Frantage (of course)...

DP is "Winter Wishes" 6X6 pad by echo park paper co...

I sanded, brushed with gesso and sanded again...

 the "Frosty Border" and "Snowflake Corner" are both from Memory Box...

 crystal topped stick pin and diamante snowflake charm are from The Ribbon Girl...

 beads, rhinestones and ribbon are from my stash... 

the sentiment is Whimsy Stamps "Seasonal Ornaments"... 

 inside sentiment is also Whimsy Stamps "Vintage Christmas"...

I will add a personalized sentiment when I decide who this goes to...

 

Well that is another Christmas card to add to the very short stack!!  Time to get down to some serious Christmas card making here!!!!

My first Simply Magnolia Design Team post!!!

Good Sunday morning fellow Maggie lovers!!

I am SUPER EXCITED to be here to share with you my first post as a new Design Team member at the FABULOUS Simply Magnolia!!!

It's the half way mark of our current challenge which is "Black/white and one other colour"...so that means that you have almost another week...to join us...we'd LOVE to see what you create for us!!

I decided to make mine a birthday card for one of my best friends. 

When I think of black and white combined is shouts elegant to me...well I tried for the elegant...fussy and fancy is what emerged...LOL!!!

Here is what I came up with...

I decided to make a book style card...
I inked up Grande Impressabilities "Butterfly Garden"  GI-002 with white ink and ran it through my Grande Calibur on black cardstock to create the black/white background paper...

this is Libra Tilda from the Zodiac 2014 collection...

I matted her using Spellbinder's Classis Ovals Large, Floral Ovals and Grande Ovals...

 I added  an hour glass charm and chiffon ribbon to the crown stick pin...

the butterfly/flower plaque is made using "Delight" molding compound and a mold both from Crafts and Me... 

it's mounted on Magnolia Doohickey "So Wrapped Tilda Lace" tag that I made into a latch for the book...

 this tag is Magnolia Doohickey "So Wrapped Lovely"...

"Happy Birthday" is from LOTV Set 58 Pretty Grungy-Good Times...

 inside is my birthday greeting and a poem that I made up for my friend...
the left side I made using Spellbinders Shapabilities "Butterfly Magic" S5-153 on white cardstock then matted on black... 

 

So that is very first project as a Simply Magnolia Design Team member...YAY!!!

Fussy and Fancy Challenge #125-"Black and Orange"

Good Friday morning my crafty friends!!

Today at Fussy and Fancy we start a brand new challenge...just in time for all those fun Halloween cards...our TALENTED Jo has chosen "Black and Orange" as her theme!!

And we are being sponsored by the FABULOUS Marianne Design!!

Can you believe that I have a shortage of Halloween stamps...LOL!!!  But I did find a SUPER cute House of Mouse stamp in my stash!!

Here is what I came up with...

A Virgo Birthday!!!

Good Wednesday evening (well at least here in Canada) all!

I've been slowly working through the Magnolia's Zodiac collection...this is such an awesome collection!!!  Two of my Daughter-in-laws are Virgos...both blondes but that's where their similarities end...lol!!

I went with a Virgo card for just one of them though!!!

In keeping with Fussy and Fancy's current "Pink" challenge in honour of breast cancer awareness I went with pinks for this card.

Here is what I came up with...

I used Go Kreate #260022 Half XXL Square Frames Frilly #2 to create the shape...

the DP is Maja from the Sofiero Collection...

I used both sides of "A Romantic Picnic in the Park"...

I surrounded her with pink shabby ribbon...

and yes I had to use some Frantage...

 I made the stick pin arrangement using the "So Wrapped Tilda Lace" die cut...

stamped "Happy Birthday" using LOTV Set 58 Pretty Grungy-Good Times on it...

added beads, ribbon and a butterfly using Joycrafts 6002/0027...  

 the bottom arrangement was made using the two remaining butterflies from the same Joycraft butterfly die cut...

 perched on flowers...with pearl accents...

the  layers tied together with a ribbon bow...

flowers at corners are made from a Marvy flower punch and decorated with pearls...

 the card opened...

Virgo definition decorates one page...

"You're Special" stamp by Hero Arts decorates another page...

both are mounted on Go Kreate #120022 Concentrics  Frilly Squares #2...

the second to last page has a money pocket on it made using the same Go Kreate die as above...

the last page is our sentiment to Natalie and "Delightful Tilda" from the Special Moments 2013 collection...

Well that is my Virgo card...I know that you're all thinking "Hey it's actually Libra's month" but hey I'm a little late with this card...thank goodness our Miss Nat is understanding...LOL!!!

Fresh Brewed Designs-October Digi Release-"Let's Play Dress Up"!!!

Good Monday morning all!!

Today Fresh Brewed Designs releases it's October digis...Heather has created a whole line of "Dress Up" cuties just in time for Halloween card making!!!  You can find them HERE!!

I will be showing you a card that I made using the brand new Alien image and also the Clown image!

Here is what I came up with...

I created a window using a circle punch so that both images could be seen...

the DP is from my stash and is SO old I have no idea who it's made by...

 this is "Clown Dress Up" digi...

I added glossy accents to his nose, shoes, buttons and the balls that he is juggling..

his hair is some fake curls that I had in my stash... 

I added puffy bat ribbon to the top and bottom of the card...

 the top left corner is decorated with yellow and black ribbon, purple shabby seam binding, silver stick pin, silver haunted house charm, witches hat charm and the web and spider charm all from Live and Love Crafts... 

 the sentiment on the inside is by Hero Arts...

I also added the bat ribbon to the top and bottom of the inside...

 the inside image is "Alien Dress Up"...

Fresh Brewed Designs-Show us your "Tags"!!!

Good Wednesday morning all!!

To take a tour of the newest establishment in my Tilda Town "Curls & Locks" go HERE!!

But for today we start a brand new challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs!!  We want you to show us your tags...and at this time of year with Christmas just around the corner how easy is that!!!

Now with that being said I didn't work on any Christmas tags...LOL!!!  One of my favourite collections at Fresh Brewed Designs is Heather's "Alice in Wonderland" collection!!

We have a few events coming up so I decided to make some tags for gifts that we will take along with us!

Here is what I came up with...

I made three tags using images that I printed out onto DP...

 I made this with a hostess gift in mind...

the image is called Hatter Madness...

I added a "White Rabbit" head charm but it's sort of hard to see here...

 I couldn't resist penning this sentiment...with a couple of my friends in mind...LOL!!!

it says "fun, funky, Mad as a Hatter"...

 this tag was made with a birthday gift in mind...

 the image is "Tick, Tock Clock"...

I added a bottle filled with Glamour dust, shabby seam binding, raffia and a stick pin with beads...

 and penned this sentiment...

 this tag will be an "any occasion" tag...

I used "I'm Late" from the Alice collection...

 I smooshed a plain tag with rust coloured ink and added lace...

added fibers, a zipper charm that I Frantaged, a small feather and three small Maya flowers...

the sentiment says Time to Celebrate...
