Good Morning and welcome to the May Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop!
If you have already visited the challenge blog and are arriving
here from Fresh Brewed Challenges, then you are right on track!
If not, then go BACK to the start at Freshly Brewed Challenges.

Last month we welcomed in Spring,
but this month we are moving on into summer!

Sand in our toes, the smell of salty air, late evening walks, sticky, Popsicle covered faces, mosquitoes...
Yes, it is almost here.
And we are SO EXCITED!!!

Here is my project that I created featuring one of Heather's newest digital stamps called:
"Beach Sweetie"
please click on the first image for a closer view and slideshow...
I thought this little sweetie would look DARLING on a door tag for the pool area...
so here is our "Girls Only" change room sign...
I started with a plain wooden flip-flop form...
sponged sand coloured acrylic paint on the bottom part for sand then added Aged Taupe Frantage...
next I sponged on pale blue then added a black/green colour for a water look...
I sponged the pale blue on the top for the sky then added white for clouds...
I painted the straps in a pale mauve...sponged the flowers with white and added Shabby Pink Frantage...
I dotted on a chocolate coloured copic for the center of the flower...
a closer view of "Beach Sweetie"...
closer still...
I added natural coloured raffia and a mauve/white stitch ribbon for hanging...
I printed three tags on my computer and added a fish charm...

  1. I LOVE THIS! Time to open up the pool and hang this from the Girls Only change room....totally awesome idea Beth! I love how you took a plain pair of wooden flip flops and then painted it all up....wow! You are always thinking outside the box! Your little girl is so cute in her polka dot bathing suit. And of course, the little fish charm is a great idea. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!
