Midway at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-#208 "Anything Goes Christmas-NO Red or Green"

Good Monday morning dear blogging friends!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend...to our American neighbours I hope that your Thanksgiving was fabulous!

Welcome to my first post of the day!!

Today is the midway point of our "Anything Goes Christmas-No Red or Green" challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge...our most wonderful hostess for this challenge is our one and only Christine!!  As always you have the option of "Anything Goes"!

Here is what I came up with...

I made another Christmas door hanger...I just love making these...

I painted it beige...added a blue wash and scored it to look like paneling...

I should have taken a pic before I decorated...I made it like a banister which you can't see now with all the decorations...

I looped cheesecloth around the "bannister" and then decorated with blue beaded berries, flowers, ribbon and an ornament string die which is by Your Next Die...

"merry christmas" is Stampingbella...

 this little sweetie is "Light Hanging" HMUR1046...

Fussy and Fancy Challenge #153-"Words-it's all about the sentiment"!!

Good Friday morning dear blogging friends!!

Midway Reminder at Simply Magnolia-"Shabby Chic"

this one is a little different then the ones I usually do...the sides are not cut and therefore don't drop when the lid is opened...

the lid is decorated with the fabulous lace that I just received this week from Live and Love...

the snowflake "garland" is a combination of Memory Box Frosty Border and Snowflake Corner...

and this is one of my new stamps that arrived a week and a half ago from Magnolia-licious...

this is "Tilda With Little Snowy" from the A Lovely Christmas 2015 collection...

I added lace panels to the folding sides...

Midweek Magnolia Challenge #127-"Pink and Green"

Happy Wednesday dear crafty friends!!

It's time once again for a fabulous challenge at Midweek Magnolias!!!  If I do say so myself it is a SUPER EASY one..."Pink (my fav) and Green"...they are so stunning together!  As always we are sponsored by the wonderful Magnolia Sweden!

I have to say that I LOVED doing this one...although I may have gone overboard on the embellies!!

this is sweet little "Twinkle Star Tilda" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...

 the poinsettia is made using Tim Holtz Poinsettia die...

I applied Snow Tex and dusted Glamour Dust over that...

I used dies from Magnolia Doohickey Volume #2 along with the TH Poinsettia die to make the top arrangement...

I cut apart a silver star garland to add amongst all the arrangements...

beaded berries adorn the top one...

stick pin with ribbon stamped using "merry Christmas" from Stampingbella...

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Challenge #207 "Use Plaid"

Good Monday morning my crafty friends!!

I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend!!

We had a VERY BUSY weekend in the Brovold household...we have been much in NEED of something POSITIVE to celebrate...so on Sunday...along with celebrating my Mom's birthday...we celebrated the engagement of our youngest Son Nicholas and his fiancé Danielle...YAY!!!!!  I never thought my baby could be SO romantic...he took Danielle on a wine tour to Niagara Falls and popped the question with a wine bottle custom made with her name on it and "Will you marry me?"  She said YES!!  

Okay...onto today's post!!   We begin a brand new challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge AND I am your hostess for the next two weeks!!  I chose the theme "Use Plaid"...of course you have the option of "Anything Goes!!

When I went to grab some plaid paper from my stash...well...there wasn't any there!!  I decided then to use some wonderful plaid ribbon instead!!
