House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Challenge #207 "Use Plaid"

Good Monday morning my crafty friends!!

I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend!!

We had a VERY BUSY weekend in the Brovold household...we have been much in NEED of something POSITIVE to celebrate...so on Sunday...along with celebrating my Mom's birthday...we celebrated the engagement of our youngest Son Nicholas and his fiancé Danielle...YAY!!!!!  I never thought my baby could be SO romantic...he took Danielle on a wine tour to Niagara Falls and popped the question with a wine bottle custom made with her name on it and "Will you marry me?"  She said YES!!  

Okay...onto today's post!!   We begin a brand new challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge AND I am your hostess for the next two weeks!!  I chose the theme "Use Plaid"...of course you have the option of "Anything Goes!!

When I went to grab some plaid paper from my stash...well...there wasn't any there!!  I decided then to use some wonderful plaid ribbon instead!!

Here is what I came up with...

I cut the base and matts out using a Go Kreate die #260022 and #120021...
this super cute image is "Foot Loose and Fancy Free" HMJR1072...
coloured with my copics...
"merry christmas" is Stampingbella...
heart buckle, stick pin, crocheted lace and charm are from The Ribbon Girl...
berry cluster is Live and Love Crafts...
sentiment is Hero Arts...

    Hi Beth - a gorgeous card - super colouring of the adorable image and beautifully embellished!! I love the tartan - which I had some!!!
    I sad you haven't got your Maggies collection yet - I've had mine for over 3 weeks although I have been a member of the club for 9 years perhaps that's why.

    Just stunning, Beth. I love every piece on this card. Of course I love plaid especially for Christmas. I just saw a very large plaid poinsettia in JoAnn's yesterday. No idea what i'll do with it, but I think I have to have it. Most important your reasons for celebrating. Happy Birthday for Mom and Best Wishes to Nicholas and Danielle. You don't find such romantic boy (I should say men) anymore. Yay for him.

    Beth, first, I love this challenge theme. Your card is wonderful as always, so much to look at and enjoy. Love the tartan plaid ribbon that you chose and that adorable stamped image beautifully colored.
    Your baby is engaged. Fun to see how a young man changes when he is in love, good for him, sounds so romantic.....ahhhhh. Good luck to them, and looks like you will be helping to plan a wedding...fun!
