I hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend...we had a nice family dinner on Saturday to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday...it took me all day Sunday to clean up lol!!!
Anyway onto today's post...we are a day late due to technical difficulties...but here we are to start off another month's challenge at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia!!! Our theme for this month is "Snow/Glitter"...SUPER EASY right??!! AND our wonderful sponsor is The Ribbon Girl! I was very excited about this cause I just received my order this week from The Ribbon Girl so I got to use lots of stuff from my new goodies!!
Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I went with a square card...the backing is 6X6 and the side panel is 2X6...
I did this so I wouldn't have to cut too much off the gorgeous Maja paper...lol...
DP is Maja Design from "I Wish"...6X6 paper pad...
I added ruffled tulle down the 2X6...
I love this wired ribbon...
I got it last year at Michael's and I'm almost out...
I sure do hope that they bring it back this year!!..
the "Merry Christmas" is one of the Scrapiniec chipboards that was in my Ribbon Girl order...
I coloured it with a silver gel pen then added some Snow Tex and Glamour Dust...
the berries were also in my order along with the pine cone and diamante tree charms...
the tree is also Scrapiniec from my order...
I added Brushed Sage Distress Ink...
I added Brushed Sage Distress Ink...
then coloured the stars with the silver gel pen and added Snow Tex and Glamour Dust randomly and at the bottom...
this little sweetie is "Little Cute Tilda" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...
I masked her onto the "Snowy Chimney" sorry can't remember which collection this is from...
and masked on the "Fairy Dust" swirl which is from the Fairy Tale 2010 collection...accented with Glamour Dust...
coloured with my copics...dusted with Chunky White Frantage...
pom-pom on her hat is Liquid Applique with some Glamour Dust added before heating...
Snow Tex and Glmour Dust added once again for the "snow"...
the card opened...
the crocheted lace is also from The Ribbon Girl but was in my stash from a couple years ago...
"Season's Greetings" is Hero Arts...
And that's my "Snow/Glitter" card for this month's challenge!! My talented teamies have some GORGEOUS makes to show you so won't you please pay a visit to Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia then come on and join us for a chance to win a fabulous prize from The Ribbon Girl!!!
All materials are listed above...most of it from The Ribbon Girl!!
