Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia Midway Reminder Challenge #151-"Use Trim"

Happy Sunday dear friends!

And how is everyone enjoying their weekend?

Well...it's getting pretty cold here...I really hate to think that winter is truly just around the corner...UGH!!  Seems like the perfect time to hunker down in the craft room...just the way to cure the "almost winter" blues...lol!

Okay...onto to today's post...today marks the midway of our current challenge at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia where our theme is "Use Trim"...now how easy is that I ask...just get out your lace or ribbon or pearl strands...the sky's the limit!!  We are kindly sponsored this challenge by the Rubber Buggy!

Here is what I came up with...

I just received the Graphic 45 "Book Boxes" that I ordered so I was pretty excited to jump right in and try them out!!...
I "pounced" on Gesso to make a nice white snow like affect...

next I added some gathered lace that I decorated with tiny silver flowers and a white pearl strand...

 this darling image is "Poinsettia Tilda" from the Aspen Holiday 2016 collection...

dusted with Chunky White Frantage...

matted on cheesecloth...

inside is a perfect place to store memories/treasures...

DP is also from Maja Design "A Gift For You"...

 I added an envelope that is the perfect size for a gift card...

 the bow is doubled layered using two chiffon ribbons...

I added this beautiful diamanté safety pin with a diamanté snowflake attached...

then finished off with some "Merry Christmas" ribbon and a gray pearl...

matted on cheesecloth that I distressed with Memento "Tuxedo Black"...

the pumpkin was made with scalloped circled that I punched out...folded and attached together...

"Happy Halloween" and black sparkle ribbon are from my stash...

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #127-"Halloween"

Good Monday morning dear blogging friends!

I hope that you were all able to enjoy a most wonderful weekend!!

Today we begin another brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society...our theme for this challenge is "Halloween"...as always you have the option of "Anything Goes"!!  I've been itching to colour up a darling Sherri Baldy "Halloween" image...so many to choose from!

Here is what I came up with...

I made an easel card with a fan design that I loved working with before...

I adhered some black lace onto purple card stock using a sheet of Score Pal tape then added a punched scallop border the I decorated with rhinestones...

I added an owl and a lantern charm along the cheesecloth border...

I added Glossy Accents to all the eyes, the lips, flames and some of the bubbles...the rest of the bubbles I used White Liquid Pearls...

I used some sparkly black ribbon from my stash and some orange "happy halloween" ribbon...

topped this off with a spider and web charm...the charm was bronze so I painted the web metallic silver and the spider black...

Midweek Magnolias Challenge #175-"Anything Goes"

Good Wednesday morning dear blogging friends!

Half way through the week already so you know what the means...YES...it's time for another new challenge at Midweek Magnolias!  Our SUPER easy challenge for the next two weeks will be "Anything Goes"...so get out those Magnolia images or die cuts and come on over to play along with us!!  Our sponsor is as always Magnolia Sweden!

I'm trying my best to try to build a bit of a stash of Christmas cards before I'm tearing my hair out to get them done...lol!!

Here is what I came up with...

I wanted to make a card that looked like a Christmas ornament so I drew my own...although the design kinda got lost when I added the lace around the outside...

I cut out a "top" for the ornament and punched the edge with a Martha Stewart snowflake boarder punch...

then added a jump ring for the hanger...

the red card stock was embossed using a Spellbinders Christmas embossing folder...

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #126-"Autumn"

Hello dear blogging friends!!

I sure hope that everyone had a most wonderful weekend!!

To all my Canadian friends...Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Enjoy your family and friends!!

Today we begin a brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society...our most wonderful and talented sponsor is as always Sherri Baldy!!  I've had this sweet little image sitting for a while and decided this was the perfect time to colour her up!! You can find her HERE!!

Here is what I came up with...

I decided to make a lollipop card...I LOVE making these...only thing it's hard to photograph because of the size...lol!!...so I added a FEW to try to get angles etc...

I added ruffled chiffon around the outer edges...

coloured with my copics...

matted on some cheesecloth distress with Memento Rich Cocoa and Rangers Bundled Sage then ripped to look like tendrils...

I topped the wired satin bow with leaves and acorns cut using a Spellbinders die...

then added a bottle with acorn inside...

 the bottom bow was made using some wired crocheted ribbon from my stash...
I added some leaf tendrils made using a Memory Box die...then added tiny flowers and pearls...
topped with this pretty yellow flower...I thought it looked like a sunflower...
and finished off with acorn and leaves charms...
