Midway Reminder at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia-Challenge #152 -"Pearls, Gems or Sparkle"

Happy Sunday dear crafty friends!

And how is everyone's weekend so far?!

Today marks the midway of our current challenge at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia...SO...that means it's the Sweet Magnolia team's turn to show you what we came up with...the theme is "Pearls, Gems or Sparkle"!!  Our wonderful sponsor for our challenge is Noor Design!  You still have almost two weeks to dazzle us with your beautiful work...so come on over and join us!

I'm hooked on these "pyramid" cards!!  They're so pretty and easy...SO...I couldn't resist making another!

Here is what I came up with...

dusted with Chunky White Frantage...

matted on cheesecloth...

I added a small rhinestone to her package and a tiny one to the pom pom on her hat...

 this side I decorated with pine cones/branches made using the Tim Holtz pine cone/branch die...

I added a red chiffon ribbon...stamped "Merry Christmas" with Stazon onto a piece of chiffon and added a berry/bead cluster...

to this side I added three ornament dies made from a Memory Box die..

then strung a pearl strand throughout...

I added rhinestones to each ornament...

the inside sentiment is by Hero Arts...

Midweek Magnolia Challenge #178-"Christmas is Coming"

Happy Wednesday dear blogging friends!!

Well we're here are at the half way mark of another week...AND...almost at the end of another month...YIKES!!  Best of all it's time to begin another brand new challenge at Midweek Magnolias...our sponsor is as always Magnolia Sweden...AND...we have a SUPER easy theme for the next two weeks..."Christmas is Coming"...perfect for you all to finish up or get going on those "special" Christmas cards!!

I always love doing 3D or trying different things to shake up the gray matter...AND...I've always admired the gift bags that all you talented crafters have created...BUT...I've never done one!!  So I bought these cute little white bags and waded in...

Here is what I came up with...

the penguin bag sentiment says "Cold Hands Warm Heart"...Rudolph bag says "Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle All the Way"...bear Bag says Think Snow" and are all made by High Hopes Stamps...

the white fringe on the top is from Michael's

they are all from the "Winter Wonderland" 2013 collection...

dusted with Chunky White Frantage...

noses, eyes and Rudolph's hooves have Glossy Accents...

all are matted on cheesecloth and Rudolph's has some sparkly ribbon behind as well...

all three bags are decorated with crystal/rhinestone stick pins from The Ribbon Girl that I've added some beads from my stash to...

finished off with some silver satin snowflake ribbon from Michael's and a diamanté snowflake also from The Ribbon Girl...

I stamped the sentiments onto white chiffon ribbon with Stazon...

 tags were punched out using a Marvy punch...

I added ribbon and string...

I attached with clothes pins that I painted white and added a silver flower...

this way they can be taken off to sign you name/personal message...

Oh my they were so fun to make and worked up relatively quick!!

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #131-"White Card Only-Only the Image In Colour"

Good Monday morning my crafty friends!!

I hope that everyone had a FABULOUS weekend!

Today we begin a brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society...I've always LOVED working with this theme..."White Card Only-Only the Image In Colour"...there's something about setting a beautiful image up against white!!

I saw this "Pyramid" style card over at 613 Avenue Create...thank you Sheryl for the awesome inspiration!!  I found a quick and easy tutorial by Linda Gutierrez HERE!

I must warn you that I went a little crazy with the pictures...I wanted to capture all the sides!

Here is what I came up with...

I ran some of the white card stock through a Spellbinders embossing folder to create a "DP" layer...

 I've been itching to colour up this little sweetie...

I wanted to keep the colours simple and soft...

this little darling is Img. 911...you can find her HERE!!...

I used lots of Glamour Dust on the fur areas as well as the poinsettia petals and Glossy Accents on the eyes, buttons and poinsettia centres...

 I made some Foamiran poinsettias using a Spellbinders Poinsettia die...

snowflakes are a Joy Craft die...

 I made some circle loops and bow loops with some white/silver string then topped with the feathers and poinsettia...

I added white stamens and Glamour Dust to finish...

 the bow/sentiment side...

I stamped "Merry Christmas"...using a Hero Arts stamp...onto white chiffon ribbon with Stazon...

 the inside sentiment...

the poinsettia in the corner acts as a "stopper" for holding the card in place when closed...

Oh my goodness...this was SO much FUN to make!!  It actually worked up fairly quickly...the worst part is all the cutting and embossing!  I can't wait to make another one!!!!!

Simply Magnolia November Midway Challenge-"CAS or Fully Loaded"

Happy Wednesday dear blogging friends!

Well we're half way through the week AND half way through the month of November...YIKES...gotta get going on those Christmas cards!!  So it being the half way mark of the month that means it's Team Glamour's turn at Simply Magnolia...our current theme is super easy...you have a choice between "CAS or Fully Loaded"!  For those who visit me you know that "Fully Loaded" will always be my choice...CAS scares the daylights out of me...LOL!!  I SO admire those of you can pull off a beautiful CAS card!!

Last Friday I opened my front door and there on the porch was a package from Maja Design that I had won in The Ribbon Girls' October challenge...well I opened the package and it was JAM PACKED with the gorgeous new collection "Joyous Winterdays"...oh my goodness I was SO excited that I couldn't wait to get busy using this super new collection!!!

Here is what I came up with...

the tags tucked under the bow were made using a Marvy punch...

this little darling is "Tilda with Rudolph" from the Christmas Story 2012 collection...

I layered up the bow with some silver/white string that I got from Michaels and gray chiffon from my stash...

Midweek Magnolias Challenge #177-"Anything Goes"

Good Wednesday morning dear blogging friends!!

Wednesday already...AND...time for a brand new challenge at Midweek Magnolias...our theme for the next two weeks is everyone's FAV..."Anything Goes"!  Our sponsor is as always Magnolia Sweden!

I've been trying to revisit some of the older Magnolia collections...I would have to say that one of my favourite Christmas collections is the "Winter Wonderland" 2013 collection...so I dug out some of my favs and thought that I'd love to put them together to make a winter scene...I just love this little trio!

Here is what I came up with...

holly leaves are from Scrapiniec...painted with silver metallic paint and accented with some rhinestones...

 these three little guys are all from the "Winter Wonderland" collection as are the sign and Christmas trees that I stamped twice...

coloured with my copics...I pounced some Snow Tex onto the sky and added Glamour Dust...

Rudolph's nose and hooves and the polar bear's nose are enhanced with Glossy Accents...

 the bow is from my stash...

topped with a diamanté snowflake charm and finished off with a tiny white rose bud...

 "Merry Christmas" is also from Scrapiniec...painted with silver metallic paint...mounted on a birch heart...

I added some white/silver string and topped with another white rose bud...

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #130-"Anything Goes"

Good morning dear crafty friends!

How was everyone's weekend?

Today at Scrapbook Stamp Society we begin a brand new challenge...everyone's favourite "Anything Goes"!  As always our amazing sponsor is the lovely and talented Sherri Baldy!

It was my Mom's birthday yesterday and this sassy lady called to me...I had a vision in mind of the card but as always things took on a life of there own once I got started...does that ever happen to any of you??  You have this vivid image in mind of EXACTLY the way your card will turn out and then when it's done...HMMM!!  Well I have to confess that when I was finishing her up I dropped an ink pad...luckily it hit the edge so some heavy shading ensued...then when that didn't look right out came one of my good old friends...frantage!!  I remember Vicky Boutin always saying to us "There's never a mistake when you're crafting"!!  Well luckily my hours of colouring didn't come to a disastrous end...thank you frantage!!!!

I popped some rhinestones onto her glasses and brown pearls on her shoe straps...
I added Glossy Accent to her eyes and buttons...

Marvelous Magnolia-November Challenge "Anything Goes"

Happy November 1st dear crafty friends!

Wow the time sure is flying now...won't be long until Christmas...YIKES!!  

Since it's the first of the month the Dreamy Team at Marvelous Magnolia will have the pleasure of kicking off a brand new challenge...our SUPER EASY theme is "Anything Goes"...SO...get out your Maggies...Magnolia Doo-hickeys/papers/etc. and come on over and join us!!!

Here is what I came up with...

snowflake border and snowflakes are both Joy Craft dies...

 I masked together "Little Rudolph" and Christmas Tree from the Winter Wonderland 2013 collection...

coloured with my copics and dusted with Chunchy White Frantage...

I was going for a stormy sky look but my gray copics just didn't want to blend...ugh!...

I added glossy accents to Rudolph's hooves and nose as well as the star...

I finished off the star with a tiny rhinestone...

 ribbon is chiffon with white/silver string under...

topped with pearl/diamante decoration...
then finished off with a Tim Holtz pocket watch with 25 stamped inside...
