Well my plan was to start my Easter projects well before this...what can I say...time has a way of getting away from us all!!!
I have had this idea for an Easter basket in my head for a while...so finally started it yesterday and finished it up tonight!!
This will be one of the baskets for the Grandkiddies to collect their goodies when we have our Easter hunt!!
Here is the first one...
please click on first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I started by cutting out seven panels of Maja paper, a large circle, handle out of cardstock and then re-enforced the inside with cardstock...
I covered the seams with lace threaded with ribbon both on the inside and outside...
I distressed all of the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool...
I added some lace with flowers about a half inch from the top all around as well as on the handle...
"Tilda Hiding Easter Egg" from the Little Easter 2013 collection...
I cut out and added "Little Hoppy" (sorry not sure what collection) to the base...
the base circle is covered with a paper doilie...
flowers are added all around the base...
tiny pink ribbons are at the top of each lace "seam"...
closer view of Tilda and Little Hoppy...
Tilda's matt is from Spellbinders Vintage Labels Four...
on the right side I added a diamond safety pin, lace bow, large butterfly charm and hung a smaller butterfly charm on pink ribbon...
on the left side I added a blue crocheted doilie, feather die cuts and a Frantage covered button to a paper heart doilie
a closer view of Tilda and Hoppy...
closer view of the top of the basket...
a view of the inside of the basket and top of the handle accented with tiny pink roses glued to the lace with flowers...
That completes the first of my Easter baskets...I hope that you like it!!
