It's the midway point at Simply Magnolia for our "Layer It Up" challenge...it's Team Glamour's turn to show you what we came up with!! Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons!!!
Last year I left my closest friends "cards" until the last...thinking that "Hey they're my besties so they'll understand if their projects are a little late"...well my two very best friends didn't get theirs until AFTER Christmas...LOL!!! And YES they were very understanding!!
So this year I have actually finished one of their "cards" for this DT post!!
In my last house we had curved walls and lots of nooks and crannies...perfect for tucking in Christmas trees...I used to put up at least four trees!! Our family tree was always the traditional Christmas colours but the other trees were decorated in themes/colours that I loved...this combo was always one of my favourites!!
Here is "It's Christmas Time"...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I used a Tim Holtz clock...layered on alcohol ink, gesso and Frantage...
side view...
close up of the tags, chiffon and satin ribbons...
the "With Love" tag and two ornament tags are Whimsy stamps...
this is Little Cute Tilda from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...
I have perched her on hellebore flowers...
Tilda with Trumpet...celebrating the "Joys of the Season" with a musical tribute...lol... is from the same collection...
she is mounted on a layer of batting which is covered with Flowersoft Polar White...
in the background (hard to see in this picture) are trees made with dies from the Magnolia Doohickey Club Kit #2 with liquid applique for snow...
the clock back is layered with gesso and glamour dust...
clock handle decorated with ribbon and hellebore flowers...
time piece is Tim Holtz layered with gesso and glamour dust...
side decorated with layers of trees, Magnolia Doohickey pine branches, Martha Stewart pine branches, string of pearls, pink pearls and pink chiffon ribbon knots...
Well that is another Christmas project done!! It's time for you all to hop over to check out my teamies FABULOUS makes at Simply Magnolia!!

We had just a dusting of snow, we were lucky by just a few miles.
My son in law teaches in the area hardest hit and won't go back to
work until Dec 1 and was off all last week after it hit. Clean up will
take time, no place to put all that snow. Now rain and flood worries for
these poor folks.
