Hope that your weekend has been fabulous!!
Today it's Team Glamour's turn once again to bring you midway inspiration at Simply Magnolia!! And remember we are being sponsored by the most wonderful ladies at The Ribbon Girl!! I just put in an order for some of their fabulous stick pins with the crystals AND a few other little goodies...lol!!!
As you will remember our current challenge is "CAS or Fully Loaded"...well I really did intend to try my hand at CAS but well it just wasn't working...CAS scares me silly so my fussy, frilly thoughts took over and "fully loaded" is what happened...and this IS "fully loaded"...LOL!!!
Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
as I'm trying to organize/clean up my craft room I am trying to make projects that I can either use or display as a theme...
so I went with a tissue box...what desk doesn't need a tissue box...right?!!...
the after and before shot...
I took a paper mache tissue box and covered it with decoupage paste and tissue paper...
next I stamped and embossed a Hero Arts image using silver embossing powder...
then I started decorating starting with a wide ribbon band that has pearls sewn on from Live and Love Crafts...
this is one of my all time favourite Tildas "Hello Little Butterfly"...
sorry I can't remember which collection...
coloured with distress re-inkers and framed with a touch of Frantage and a lace border sewn on...
sorry I can't remember which collection...
coloured with distress re-inkers and framed with a touch of Frantage and a lace border sewn on...
the flower arrangement on the top left corner of the box using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts "Ivy Tendrils" and "Tiny Tendril" die cuts from Memory Box...
the sentiment stamp is Magnolia "Happiness Be Yours" stamped on Maja paper...
the bow is a Cheery Lynn Designs die cut #B422 cut from the same Maja paper...
the butterfly is Maribelle Butterfly from Memory Box cut once with cardstock and again with Maja paper...
this is the flowers arrangement on the top of the box with chiffon ribbon, pearl rhinestone bling and "Have an issue...grab a tissue!! is computer generated...
another of my favourite Tildas...
"Sneaky Tilda" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...
closer view...
coloured and decorated as my first Tilda...
another arrangement on top of the box has a silver rose made by applying many coats of silver embossing powder to a plain white rose as the center of the arrangement...
one of the sides decorated with a rhinestone safety pin from The Ribbon Girl...
this butterfly is cut using "Darla Butterfly" and "Vivienne Butterfly" from Memory Box...
the base is cut from the Maja paper and the intricate part using cardstock...
I just LOVE these pins from The Ribbon Girl...
you can find them in the Diamante Collection I believe...
I added a bead that is from my stash for a little extra colour...
So that is my tissue holder..."Fully Loaded"!!! You still have until March 7th to play along with us at Simply Magnolia...we can't wait to see what you create for us!!!
All materials are either linked above...my Tildas and Memory Box dies are from Magnolia-licious...or from my stash!!!
