I'm here today to remind you that you still have time to join us for our "In the Garden" challenge over at Midweek Magnolia!! I have found this challenge so very versatile and at this time of year it's so nice to be working with bright and Spring like stamps and embellies!! So won't you hop on over and share an "In the Garden" creation with us...we look forward to seeing what you come up with!!
So...I decided to finish off the Easter cards for the Grandkiddies...I saved Miss Calla's for last!! Calla is my craft lover...she loves poking through my craft room...I wanted to come up with something extra crafty for her!!!! I have been LOVING playing with the templates from Sandra's Scrapshop so I had ordered three more of her fabulous templates and went with the "Bow Card" template...although when I attached my image it doesn't look like a bow anymore...my image is too big...lol...oh well...I like it anyway and I'm pretty sure that Miss Calla will too!!!
Here is Calla's Easter card...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
the template and instructions were so easy to use...
Sandra provided a very easy to follow step by step along with the template...
I used Maja Design paper from my favourite Sofiero Collection...
this is "Tilda with Elsie the Lamb" from the Animal of the Year 2014 collection masked onto Magnolia "Stone Path" sorry can't remember which collection...it's been in my stash forever...
coloured with my distress re-inkers and then I just had to add Frantage...
framed with flower/pearl lace/ribbon...
then decorated with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts...
closer view...
the rhinestone/crystal stick pin is decorated with pink chiffon ribbon, flowers, cheesecloth knot, tiny beads and rabbit charm...
closer view...
"A Very Happy Easter to You" sentiment is from the Happy Easter 2010 collection...
side view...
I added lace around all the edges for a more finished look...
inside..."Happy Easter" sentiment is Hero Arts...
"Eggs in an Egg Basket" is also from the Happy Easter 2010 collection...
