Midway Reminder at Simply Magnolia-"Shabby Chic"

Good Sunday morning dear blogging friends!!!

I hope that you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!

Today marks the midway point at Simply Magnolia's "Shabby Chic" challenge...yes you still have almost a week left to come and play along with us for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Live and Love Crafts!  You have until next Saturday at noon British time to join us.

Also at Simply Magnolia we WELCOME our new team mate Christina!!

So here is my contribution to Team Glamour...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
well I decided it's time for an explosion box...
I've seen so many gorgeous ones lately out in blog land and realized that it's been a while since I made one...
this one is a little different then the ones I usually do...the sides are not cut and therefore don't drop when the lid is opened...
the lid is decorated with the fabulous lace that I just received this week from Live and Love...
another angle...
the silver flake ribbon also arrived this week from The Ribbon Girl...
closer...
this sweet darling is "Little Santa" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...
coloured with my copics, fussy cut and mounted on a Magnolia Doohickey tag...
I used a Tim Holtz door knob for the lid handle...
snowflakes were made using Crealies CL CF 18...
the snowflake "garland" is a combination of Memory Box Frosty Border and Snowflake Corner...
and this is one of my new stamps that arrived a week and a half ago from Magnolia-licious...
this is "Tilda With Little Snowy" from the A Lovely Christmas 2015 collection...
coloured with my copics...
the tree is from Michael's decorated with a crystal strand...
I added lace panels to the folding sides...
the tree and Tilda sit in cheesecloth dusted with Snow Tex and Glamour Dust...
closer...
"Merry Christmas" is from Hero Arts...
 also Hero Arts...

I SO love making explosion boxes...I had a blast!!  Time for you to hop on over to Simply Magnolia and check out my talented teamies and send Christina a warm welcome!!
