Happy Birthday to Someone Special!!

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

Happy St.  Patrick's Day!!

With a greeting like that bet you thought I had a St.  Patty's Day card to share...sadly I don't!!  My Irish Grandfather would be mortified!!  My husband's Irish Mother was born on St.  Patty's Day and her name was Patricia...so with all that Irish blood floating around this house what's wrong with me...LOL!!!  No excuses would cut it so I won't even try!!!

I am actually here to share another birthday card...it's special to me because I thought that I had lost it and as it is actually my very first stamp ever I was saddened!  While going through my extremely cluttered craft room...I was trying to prepare for a "play day" with some of my crafty friends...I found it in amongst some supplies that I had used to make a scrapbook page for a friend of mine!!!  I also found a few other goodies that I had forgotten that I had!

So...my first stamp was House of Mouse "Shear Delight" featuring Monica and Friend!  I so LOVE this stamp and it is perfect for a birthday card for my hairdresser that I have had for more than 25 years!!

And here it is...
please click on the first image for a closer view and slideshow...
as I said before this is the super cute "Shear Delight" House of Mouse stamp...
circa 1999 (EEEKKKSSS)...

a closer look at Monica and friend...
I added a stick pin with some beads threaded onto it, chiffon ribbon, single rose and sentiment from LOTV in the upper left corner...
the inside with flower wreath stamp and Happy Birthday...both are Hero Arts...
and another sweet little stamp called "Baby Monica" HMD1021...

So that is my card using my very first stamp ever!!!  And no GREEN :(!!!

Materials Used:
Stamps-House of Mouse (listed above) LOTV sentiment and Hero Arts flower wreath
             and Happy Birthday
DP-My Mind's Eye Laundry Line-Sundress Sweetness
Dies-Spellbinder's Grand Circle and Grand Scalloped Circle
Punches-Marvy circle and small tag
Stick pin and Frantage-Live and Love Crafts
Flowers-Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls, chiffon ribbon and beads are from my stash

Challenges I will enter:
House of Mouse-Challenge #165 "Lost and Found" (my stamp and I guess you could say that we lose some hair when we get it cut)
A Creative Romance-Challenge # 20  "Seeing Double"
Lady Bug Crafts-March Challenge "Anything Goes"
Creative Fingers-Challenge #27 "Anything Goes"

So that is that for me today...have a wonderful St.  Patty's Day...I'm off to find a green shirt...the least I can do...LOL!!!

Until next time...thank you for  taking the time to stop by!!!  Your visits and comments are so very much appreciated!!!
