Fussy and Fancy Challenge #210-"Add a Die Cut"

Good Friday morning dear crafty friends!

And how has your week been?  For us here in Ontario we've had a wacky week of weather...more snow on the ground than we had in January, February or March!!!  We were supposed to have our pool opened last Monday...we usually open it at the beginning of April...but it's still covered in layers of ice and snow from last weekends' ridiculous storm!  UGGGGHHHHH!!!  So tired of this winter!  They say the next few days are supposed to be good weather...I can only hope!

Okay enough complaining...onto the reason I'm here today...

We begin a brand new challenge at Fussy and Fancy today...it's a super easy one chosen by our fabulously talented Gina...it's "Add a Die Cut"!!

Here is what I came up with...

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #138-"Anything Goes"

Good Monday morning dear blogging friends!

How did you all enjoy your weekends?

Today we begin a brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society...our super easy theme is "Anything Goes"...SO...no excuses not to join us!!  Remember you can win some fabulous digis from Sherri Baldy!

I have been anxiously waiting for baseball season to start...I DO LOVE my Blue Jays!!  I got to take in the home opener again this year...Blue Jays and Yankees...nothing better!!!  Unfortunately we lost but during the opening ceremony they had a beautiful tribute to Roy "Doc" Halladay...a Blue Jay fan FAV who died in a plane crash last year!  

Oh dear...I have gone off topic!  Anyway when I saw this darling image I knew that I had to work with her!!

Here is what I came up with...

 I topped this large loopy pearl string bow with a smaller Shabby Chic Seam Binding/chiffon bow...

finished off with a stick pin/threaded with beads and a diamanté heart and key charms...

 I made these Foamiran flowers using a Rosy Owl Heart Flower die cut...

coloured with oil pastels and entered with beaded pink, yellow and white stamens...

Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge #157-"Spring Flowers"

Happy Easter dear friends!!

I hope that everyone is enjoying time with family and friends!

For us Easter is taking a back seat this year as our eldest son turned 40 yesterday...YIKES...I have a 40 year old??...how is that possible??!!  AND our second son turns 37 today...AGAIN how is this possible...LOL??!!

We celebrated by taking our three sons, their wives and three of their long time (30+ years) friends (and their spouses spouses) to the Toronto Maple Leaf game last night...a nice lite dinner before...some celebrating after the game and then spent the night in Toronto at a hotel...finished off with a brunch this morning!! 

Okay...WELL...onto the reason I'm here...today we begin a brand new challenge at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia...for the month of April we'd love for you to inspire us with your "Spring Flowers" creations...our sponsor for they month is the fabulous Noor Design!!
