Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #132-"Christmas"

Good Monday morning dear crafty friends!

Welcome to my first post for today!

Today at Scrapbook Stamp Society we begin our "Christmas" challenge...we're going to be joining forces...both teams will post today as we begin our "Christmas" celebrations!!  We'd really LOVE for you to join us...we're always so excited to be inspired by you!  As this is our last challenge for 2017 Sherri Baldy has generously offered up an extra bonus...a free digi image!!  Check out the details at Scrapbook Stamp Society!!

Here is what I came up with...

I made this book box for my granddaughter Mia...her sister Calla already claimed the first book box that I made...or as Calla calls it...a "treasure box"...
I painted it with white acrylic paint then dusted on Shabby Blue Frantage while wet then heated to emboss...
I surrounded the outer "book" area with lace and also to the top...

this darling little image reminds me SO much of sweet Mia...
I'm working with a Lil Rascal image #523 that you can find HERE...

coloured with my copics...

dusted with Chunky White Frantage...

I added LOTS of Glamour Dust to the fur areas and Glossy Accents on her eyes...

then I matted her on my fav...cheesecloth...

the bow layered with white and navy chiffon ribbon and this sparkly ribbon that I think I originally bought from Live and Love...

I stamped "Merry Christmas" with Stazon onto the white chiffon...

added a stick pin with bead and diamanté  snowflake...

I am SO loving making these Foamiran poinsettias...I want to add them to everything...LOL!!...

I added it to another small bow that's layered with navy chiffon and the sparkly ribbon...

the larger snowflake was made with a Crealies floral die...topped with a navy rhinestone...

I stung a pearl strand from the top corner poinsettia through the bow and down the side ending at the snowflake...

I added random tiny snowflakes that are from a Martha Stewart border punch...

these I topped with tiny rhinestones...

the "treasure box" opened...

I made a gift card envelope that I will tuck a Starbuck's gift card into...the girls LOVE having their Christmas shopping traditional hot chocolate with Mommy and Daddy at Starbuck's...

Marvelous Magnolia December Challenge-"Anything Goes"

Happy December 1st dear friends!!

Oh my!!   Christmas is almost here...YIKES!!...are you all prepared??!! 

Well here's your chance to get another card or two out of the way...come on over and join us at Marvelous Magnolia...our super easy theme is "Anything Goes"!!

For those of you who visit me regularly you'll have guessed that I LOVE making "Lollipop" cards...SO...

Here comes another...

DP is Maja Design (of course) from the "Joyous Winterdays" collection...

I created the ruffled outer circle by punching a border then scoring and folding to create a lace like effect...

topped that with a plainer circle and then matted the image on some natural fibres...

this sweetie is from an older collection so I really don't remember which one it is...

she's called "Heavenly Tilda"...

coloured with my copics...

I added glamour dust to her wings... 

crocheted ribbon is from Michael's...

I stamped "warm hugs"...from Stampingbella...with Stazon onto chiffon ribbon...

"Christmas" is a Hero Arts stamp and the hugs is again from Stampingbella...

Midway Reminder at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia-Challenge #152 -"Pearls, Gems or Sparkle"

Today marks the midway of our current challenge at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia...SO...that means it's the Sweet Magnolia team's turn to show you what we came up with...the theme is "Pearls, Gems or Sparkle"!!  Our wonderful sponsor for our challenge is Noor Design!  You still have almost two weeks to dazzle us with your beautiful work...so come on over and join us!

I'm hooked on these "pyramid" cards!!  They're so pretty and easy...SO...I couldn't resist making another!

I added a small rhinestone to her package and a tiny one to the pom pom on her hat...

 this side I decorated with pine cones/branches made using the Tim Holtz pine cone/branch die...

I added a red chiffon ribbon...stamped "Merry Christmas" with Stazon onto a piece of chiffon and added a berry/bead cluster...

to this side I added three ornament dies made from a Memory Box die..

then strung a pearl strand throughout...

I added rhinestones to each ornament...

the inside sentiment is by Hero Arts...

Midweek Magnolia Challenge #178-"Christmas is Coming"

Happy Wednesday dear blogging friends!!

Well we're here are at the half way mark of another week...AND...almost at the end of another month...YIKES!!  Best of all it's time to begin another brand new challenge at Midweek Magnolias...our sponsor is as always Magnolia Sweden...AND...we have a SUPER easy theme for the next two weeks..."Christmas is Coming"...perfect for you all to finish up or get going on those "special" Christmas cards!!

I always love doing 3D or trying different things to shake up the gray matter...AND...I've always admired the gift bags that all you talented crafters have created...BUT...I've never done one!!  So I bought these cute little white bags and waded in...

Here is what I came up with...

the penguin bag sentiment says "Cold Hands Warm Heart"...Rudolph bag says "Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle All the Way"...bear Bag says Think Snow" and are all made by High Hopes Stamps...

the white fringe on the top is from Michael's

they are all from the "Winter Wonderland" 2013 collection...

dusted with Chunky White Frantage...

noses, eyes and Rudolph's hooves have Glossy Accents...

all are matted on cheesecloth and Rudolph's has some sparkly ribbon behind as well...

all three bags are decorated with crystal/rhinestone stick pins from The Ribbon Girl that I've added some beads from my stash to...

finished off with some silver satin snowflake ribbon from Michael's and a diamanté snowflake also from The Ribbon Girl...

I stamped the sentiments onto white chiffon ribbon with Stazon...

 tags were punched out using a Marvy punch...

I added ribbon and string...

I attached with clothes pins that I painted white and added a silver flower...

this way they can be taken off to sign you name/personal message...

Oh my they were so fun to make and worked up relatively quick!!

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #131-"White Card Only-Only the Image In Colour"

Good Monday morning my crafty friends!!

I hope that everyone had a FABULOUS weekend!

Today we begin a brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society...I've always LOVED working with this theme..."White Card Only-Only the Image In Colour"...there's something about setting a beautiful image up against white!!

I saw this "Pyramid" style card over at 613 Avenue Create...thank you Sheryl for the awesome inspiration!!  I found a quick and easy tutorial by Linda Gutierrez HERE!

I must warn you that I went a little crazy with the pictures...I wanted to capture all the sides!

Here is what I came up with...

I ran some of the white card stock through a Spellbinders embossing folder to create a "DP" layer...

 I've been itching to colour up this little sweetie...

I wanted to keep the colours simple and soft...

I used lots of Glamour Dust on the fur areas as well as the poinsettia petals and Glossy Accents on the eyes, buttons and poinsettia centres...

 I made some Foamiran poinsettias using a Spellbinders Poinsettia die...

snowflakes are a Joy Craft die...

 I made some circle loops and bow loops with some white/silver string then topped with the feathers and poinsettia...

I added white stamens and Glamour Dust to finish...

 the bow/sentiment side...

I stamped "Merry Christmas"...using a Hero Arts stamp...onto white chiffon ribbon with Stazon...

the poinsettia in the corner acts as a "stopper" for holding the card in place when closed...

Oh my goodness...this was SO much FUN to make!!  It actually worked up fairly quickly...the worst part is all the cutting and embossing!  I can't wait to make another one!!!!!

Simply Magnolia November Midway Challenge-"CAS or Fully Loaded"

Happy Wednesday dear blogging friends!

Well we're half way through the week AND half way through the month of November...YIKES...gotta get going on those Christmas cards!!  So it being the half way mark of the month that means it's Team Glamour's turn at Simply Magnolia...our current theme is super easy...you have a choice between "CAS or Fully Loaded"!  For those who visit me you know that "Fully Loaded" will always be my choice...CAS scares the daylights out of me...LOL!!  I SO admire those of you can pull off a beautiful CAS card!!

Last Friday I opened my front door and there on the porch was a package from Maja Design that I had won in The Ribbon Girls' October challenge...well I opened the package and it was JAM PACKED with the gorgeous new collection "Joyous Winterdays"...oh my goodness I was SO excited that I couldn't wait to get busy using this super new collection!!!

Here is what I came up with...

the tags tucked under the bow were made using a Marvy punch...
"Merry Christmas" is from Scrapiniec...painted silver...

I went back to an oldie here...

this little darling is "Tilda with Rudolph" from the Christmas Story 2012 collection...

I layered up the bow with some silver/white string that I got from Michaels and gray chiffon from my stash...
