I LOVE my Maggies!!!...

Hello fellow Maggie fans...I couldn't think of a better post title than this!!!

On a recent three day shopping trip to Buffalo, New York...yes that was my vacation so far for this year...LOL...I had some retail therapy that included craft stores of course!!  I found this rather large paper mache letter "B "and thought hmmmm...."How perfect for my craft room...just think of how many Maggies I can put on THAT"!!!!

So I pulled out one of my favourite papers...Maja's "Strolling Down the Rose Path" from the Sofiero collection, my Shabby Pink Frantage and got down to business...actually it's taken me almost two weeks to complete...LOL!!!  I stamped out all of my Maggies from the "Animals of the Year" 2014 collection and whittled them down to six images!!

Well I must inform you that this is SOOOO picture HEAVY...this letter is SO BIG...it was really hard to photograph!!!!!!

Here is my letter "B"...

please click on the first image for a closer view and slideshow...

all of the outside edges were painted pink, sponged with white and Frantaged with Shabby Pink...

I covered the letter with the Maja paper...

along the straight edge of the "B" is a Martha Stewart punched lace border and rose lace...
so starting at the left hand top corner...I created a bow with lace and shabby seam binding, added a stick pin, bead (which is hidden) and butterfly charm...
this is "Tilda with Leo the Lion"...
I hand stitched some lace onto the bottom corner of the matt...
matts are all distressed, inked with Ranger Tattered Rose and Frantaged...
also added is the butterfly border by Joy Craft...
this is "Tilda with Elsie the Lamb"...
butterfly border, lace stitched on and flowers with seam binding bow on bottom...
 a closer view...
the middle of the "B" loops...
butterfly charm and seam binding lace tails...
closer view of "Tilda with Dexter the Dragon...
I hand stitched the lace...
 bottom right corner...
this is "Tilda with Millie the Mouse"...
again the lace is hand stitched on...
 bottom left corner...
butterfly border, hand stitched lace and shabby seam binding...
this is "Tilda with Daisy Mae the Tiger"...
middle left side...
this is "Tilda with Maggie the Monkey"...
lace hand stitched once again...
I made my butterflies from the Spellbinders Grand Shape-abilities "Wonderful Wings"...
I added pearls to the body and beads to the white wire tail...
this one I hand stitched the center of the body, added pearls and a tail with beads...
 another...
here you can see some of the pearl clusters that I added throughout...
this one I hand stitched again and added a bow tail...

Well that is my letter "B" filled with my beloved Maggies!!!  I had SO much FUN creating this...I hope that you like it!!!

  1. What an awesome 3D projects for your Maggies Beth. The letter B is really big judging by the MS border punch, you have done a great job decorating it. Likewise, I always love to visit a craft store when we are on vacation. Have a lovely week.
