Midway at Simply Magnolia-"Anything Goes"

Good Sunday morning dear blogging friends!!

And are you enjoying your weekend??  We have just finished off a rather warm and beautiful week...some rain yesterday and Friday but for November it's just nice not to be cold and hey let's hold off that white stuff for as long as we can...PLEASE!!!!!

Onto to the task at hand!!  Today marks the midway point at Simply Magnolia...Team Glamour's turn to show you what we have come up with!  Our wonderful sponsor for our "Anything Goes" challenge is The Ribbon Girl!!  You have until Saturday November 14 at noon British time to join in the fun!!!

I had bought these MDF door hangers and thought "Hey...maybe I could do a couple up for Calla and Mia for their bedroom doors as Christmas "cards"!!"  Well I loaded on the goodies so it's hard to tell that it is actually a door hanger...lol!!

Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I painted it with white acrylic...
Frantaged the outer edges with Shabby Pink...
attached some lovely lace...
made some postage stamp matts using a Spellbinders die...
DP is so old and a scrap from my stash so I really have no idea who it's by...
this is "Little Cute Tilda" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection perched upon a chair which is also Magnolia...sorry can't remember the collection..
coloured with my copics...dusted with Glamour Dust and some liquid pearl for accents...
bow is decorated with beaded berries, a bell and lantern charm...
"Waiting for Santa" is computer generated...
"25 " is stamped with an old number stamp...
I added Snow Tex to the banners then dusted with Glamour Dust...
berries are mounted on a chiffon ribbon and then the birch bark heart which has Snow Tex and Glamour Dust also...
star charm is mounted on holy leaves (Magnolia Club kit)...

And that is one of the door hangers done...won't you please join us at Simply Magnolia we love for you to inspire us!!  Check out the wonderful projects that my amazing team mates have to show you!!!

  7. Hi Beth,
Absolutely gorgeous door hanger; I love all the lace and the fuss, such a dreamy shabby chic project! Aqua & pink always makes me think of Maja's 1933, such a lovely colour combo! Thanks for playing Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe with LLC and apologies for my late visit. Glad you enjoyed the "Coming Home" video...it's very moving, it also made me cry. Merry X-mas.
